Harry

Master Jeweler, Founder & Third-Generation Craftsman

As a third-generation jeweler with 56 years of professional experience, Harry has dedicated his life to the art and engineering of fine jewelry. Professionally working at the bench by the age of thirteen, he carries forward a family legacy of craftsmanship established by both his father and grandfather, who were true bench jewelers in the fullest sense — designing, fabricating, setting, finishing, and polishing each piece from start to final shine.

That legacy of complete craftsmanship remains at the heart of Gold Bench today.

Harry’s father’s work included manufacturing pieces for Cartier, creating select jewelry available only through specific locations. Building on that heritage, Harry founded Gold Bench in 1986 as an independent studio with a clear vision: custom fine jewelry created with uncompromising quality and personal service.

Unlike many modern jewelers who specialize in only one aspect of the craft, Harry has mastered the full process from design engineering and fabrication through final polish. His approach begins long before a piece reaches the bench — with careful structural design, thoughtful engineering, and an understanding of how every element must fit together to ensure both beauty and longevity.

For Harry, a well-made piece starts with the integrity of the design itself.

Creativity and quality have always guided his work. Whether creating custom bridal pieces, heirloom restorations, or one-of-a-kind designs, he is known for exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to providing the highest quality possible at a fair and reasonable price.

Over the decades, many clients have remained with Gold Bench for 30 years or more, and he is now beginning to serve the next generation of their families — a testament to the trust he has built through consistency, expertise, and care.

One of the most meaningful parts of Harry’s work is earning a client’s trust, especially when working with sentimental heirlooms, significant gemstones, and deeply personal commissions. For him, that trust is never taken lightly.

Even after more than five decades at the bench, Harry’s love for jewelry remains rooted in its identity as an art form. If given unlimited freedom, he would still be creating — bringing the ideas that live in his imagination to life through craftsmanship and design.

Meg

Designer, Curator & Emerging Bench Jeweler

Meg brings a refined design eye and a deeply personal approach to every piece created at Gold Bench. With a background in film production and psychology, her work is rooted in visual storytelling, emotional nuance, and thoughtful design — qualities that naturally shape the way she approaches custom jewelry.

Long before joining the studio, she was already a lifelong maker, drawn to craftsmanship through sewing, knitting, music, and other creative disciplines. Never drawn to mainstream pieces, Meg has always been instinctively pulled toward jewelry with individuality and character.

Her journey into jewelry began in a deeply personal way. In her early twenties, she taught herself to create chainmaille-style jewelry so she could design pieces that felt uniquely her own and remake them whenever life inevitably claimed a missing earring. That early hands-on exploration of jewelry design grew from the same artistic instinct that now shapes her work at Gold Bench: a belief that jewelry should be distinctive, deeply personal, and built to endure as part of someone’s story.

With a background in wedding design and production management, Meg brings a unique understanding of the emotional significance behind bridal jewelry, heirloom redesigns, and milestone pieces. She currently leads much of Gold Bench’s evolving creative direction and brand curation, helping shape the studio into a modern luxury atelier while also collaborating closely with clients throughout the consultation and design process.

At the same time, she is actively training in bench craftsmanship and CAD design, building toward her goal of becoming a master jeweler.

For Meg, jewelry is never just an object — it is a story, a memory, and often the beginning of a future heirloom.
